Ticket packages for the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey Women's World Championship will go on sale to the general public on Sunday (Dec. 18) at 10 a.m. ET.

The event with the eight top women’s hockey nations will be staged 31 March to 7 April at USA Hockey Arena in the Detroit suburb of Plymouth, Michigan.

Ticket packages are priced at $155 and feature the 18 games that will be played on the main ice sheet at USA Hockey Arena, including all games involving the U.S. or Canada, as well as all playoff-round contests.

"We're excited to host the Women's World Championship," said Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey, "and particularly look forward to bringing this event to Michigan for the very first time. Fans will have a chance to see the best women's players in the world compete for the gold medal and many of the players are the same players fans will watch on NBC at the 2018 Winter Olympics less than a year later."

Fans can purchase tickets online on www.worldwomen2017.com or in person at the USA Hockey Arena box office. The first 250 fans to purchase a tournament package by visiting the USA Hockey Arena box office in person will receive a commemorative World Championship branded journal signed by a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team.

Fans attending Saturday's (Dec. 17) USA-Canada women's game at USA Hockey Arena will receive an exclusive discounted ticket offer for the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey Women's World Championship. Tickets for that contest, which is part of the Team USA Winter Champions Series, can be purchased at the USA Arena box office or online here.

The U.S. is hosting the IIHF Women's World Championship for the fourth time. Single-game tickets for the Women's World Championship, if available, will go on sale closer to the commencement of the event.
